Regulation

Not only National and local legislation and regulations but also European Laws are all relevant for your business. The European Directives are translated into our National and local legislation and regulations. What is the impact of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS)? What is the relationship of GHS with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances (REACH) legislation? How up to date are you with the developments around the new law for general requirements for spatial planning (Wet Algemene Bepalingen Omgevingsrecht (Wabo))? These are just examples of currently changing European and National legislation.

European Directives

Also in the Netherlands we are affected by the European Regulations and Directives. A good example is the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances (REACH) Regulation that is directly implemented in NL and which replaces other National legislation for example the Law for Hazardous materials (Wet milieugevaarlijke stoffen). The goal of REACH is the protection of people and environment from the risks associated with hazardous materials.

Dutch legislation and Regulations

The National legislation and rules are constantly changing. One of the new developments is the introduction of the law for general requirements for spatial planning (Wet Algemene Bepalingen Omgevingsrecht (Wabo). This law combines 25 separate existing Environmental legislation rulings. It includes the permits needed for among other things: building construction, environmental permit for businesses, nature and listed buildings which will in the future all be covered by one all encompassing permit the so-called “ surroundings permit”(omgevingsvergunning).
